So true! I think it's funny because the "rest" of the world (those whose lives don't revolve around the space biz) see our venture this way - it costs a lot more than it's worth. We know, though, that we go to space to push the frontiers of human space exploration. We go because it's cool. We go because one day we may exhaust our resources here on earth - it's for the good of mankind. We explore to inspire the next generations. It may not be a lucrative business (yet), but it is both necessary and noble. But, yes, the comic is funny because it's so down to earth (no pun intended). It may be necessary and noble.... but it sure is expensive!
