Did a pretty fun experiment today asking folks what songs they would add to a mixtape about the Moon. From that I built this fun MUXTAPE. Of course, there are a million songs about the Moon, as Will points out in the instant message quote below. Why not make your own MUXTAPE and leave it in the comments!

NASA made such tapes for Apollo crews to listen during their missions. In his biography "Carrying the Fire", Mike Collins tells about the tape for Apollo 11, which was a seemingly random collection of songs with "moon" in the title or lyrics.
Does anyone have a track list for the tape that Paulo mentioned?
Collins tells about the tape on pages 426-427 (Chapter 13) of "Carrying the Fire" (First Cooper Square Press edition, 2001): "[...] bland, popular selections with ''moon'' in them wherever possible". He mentions a couple of songs: 'Everyone's Gone to the Moon' (he's not sure whether this is the title or just the line repeated by the vocalist) and 'Music out of the Moon' (Armstrong's favorite).
Cool. I think I'm going to do a post about the Voyager gold record soon....
