We had an incredible Friday Funday last week. In addition to it being International Talk Like A Pirate Day, we had a busy day of finding cool space related items in Google Earth and Maps. Here is just a sampling of all the cool stuff we found.
QuarkSpin sent in a great shot of the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, and then Snibble followed up by sharing the street view. You can see a bit of the rocket garden in the back.
Amoroso sent in a variety of great satellite images of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Image 1: Rocket garden. Image 2: VAB and LLC. Image 3: Space Shuttle Explorer.
Bossross_2063 used the Panoramio feature in Google Earth to send in this cool image of the ATK static rocket display in Lampo Junction, Utah.
And also sent in the facility for China's Shenzhou manned spacecraft.
And Matt808 sent in a few pictures of California launch sites, including Sea Launch in Long Beach (it's hard to see, but its on that peninsula/wharf right in the middle of the image).
As always, you can view the full feed of Friday Funday tweets over at Twitter.
