We're wrapping up another day of work here in Las Cruces (quite early, by comparative standards--it's only 10:30pm local!). Though there still a lot to be done, everything is shaping up really well for a very successful and very exciting 2008 Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge.
Both of our flying teams--Armadillo and TrueZer0 have arrived, and their vehicles are all safely tucked away in hangars. The tents that will house our Flight Operations and other functions have been set up. We've visited the pads, and practiced driving the routes from the staging area to them and back. We've run through radio scrips of operations for both teams--and even simulated some emergencies to test our responses. Things are looking good.
Below, find a photo album with photos just from today. I hope you'll take a look at them and get excited!
