The Indian space research organization has successfully accomplish Asian’s new step in the space race. The was mission launched from the Sriharokota space center north of Chennai and it is now in orbit around the moon. The mission is known as Chandrayaan -1 and so far it has been a success. It is expected that this spacecraft will spend two years scanning the moon for evidence of water. Here at the X Prize we are proud of such accomplishment and we will continue to follow the mission through its success.
